Did conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar promise Jacqueline Fernandez a Rs 500 crore superhero film to woo her?

After reports claimed that millionaire conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar showered Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez with luxury gifts, a new report claims he was also on track to boost her career by promising her the lead in an Indian female superhero film

Chandrasekhar reportedly went all out to woo the actress by promising to produce a series of films. According to a report on Indiatoday.in, he used fake alibis and dropped names of A-list producers to allegedly tell Jacqueline that he would even produce a Rs 500 crore three-part woman superhero project with her in the lead.

The report further states that the conman knew Jacqueline was looking for work and so he promised that he would produce the country’s first woman superhero project with her in the lead. The project in question would even involve Hollywood VFX artists and would be shot on a global scale.

It was reported last week that Sukesh pampered Jacky with a list of luxury items, cars, a horse and other gifts which were made public by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in their ongoing investigations in a Rs 200 crore money laundering case.

The actress was called in for questioning as a witness in the matter and gave her written statement. “I have been speaking to Sukesh since February 2017. In August 2021, he was arrested, after which I never met him. He told me that he is the owner of Sun TV and from the political family of Jayalalithaa,” Jacqueline told the ED, reads the charge sheet.

The ED filed this charge sheet last week and the court took cognisance of it immediately.

The charge sheet reveals that Pinky Irani, an aide of Chandrasekhar who was arrested recently and introduced herself to Jacqueline’s staff as Angel, had introduced Chandrasekhar to the actress.

Chandrasekhar has said that actress Nora Fatehi wanted to buy a BMW in the name of Mehboob Khan. On her request, around Rs 75 lakh was given to B. Mohan Raj in Chennai.

The ED will soon file a supplementary charge sheet, in which they will name more accused including Irani.
