Senior advocate Majeed Memon on Aryan Khan drug case: It was a marathon legal fight where the NCB tried to make a mountain out of a molehill | Hindi Movie News

After a 25-day ordeal and numerous hearings, Aryan Khan and co-accused in the cruise ship drug case, Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha were granted bail by the Bombay High Court on Thursday. The court will give a detailed order tomorrow, including the operative part.

But when contacted, senior advocate Majeed Memon shared that, in his opinion, Aryan was ‘entitled to bail from day one’. “However, it was made a fiercely fought legal exercise spread over more than three weeks, making a young novice suffer over 20 days of undeserved jail time,” he rues, speaking exclusively to ETimes.

The lawyer goes on to add, “It was a marathon legal fight where the NCB tried to make a mountain out of a molehill. The reasons assigned by the court for granting bail would only be available later and therefore we need not discuss the facts and merits of the case at this stage”.
