Instagram Share Link: Instagram now allows all users to share links in their Stories

Instagram is expanding the ability to add links in Stories to all accounts. The feature was earlier available for verified accounts and accounts with a specific number of followers. As per an announcement by the company, the feature is now rolling out to all users irrespective of account type and followers.
The new feature is a part of the company’s ditching the swipe-up links in Stories in favour of the new Link Stickers.
The company has mentioned in its official blog post that the link sharing feature can help inspire communities from organising and educating around equity, social justice and mental well-being to showcasing new product drops to customers. Link sharing according to the company can be helpful in many ways and that’s why they are expanding the feature to all users.
“We made this decision based on feedback we heard from the community about how impactful it would be for creators and businesses of all sizes to benefit from link sharing to grow in the same way larger accounts do,” Instagram said in a statement.

Along with that, Instagram is also highlighting that it has taken utmost care about safety and security while giving link sharing features to everyone. The company has confirmed that new accounts and accounts that share hate speech and misinformation on a regular basis or other content that violates the community guidelines won’t have access to the Link sticker
The New Link Sharing Stickers are available within the sticker tool from the top navigation bar while creating Instagram Stories. To add a link in the Instagram Stories, users will need to select the Link Sticker, paste the link they want to share and place the sticker in the story just like any other sticker.
